Craig Alan Woodman (born 22 December 1982 in Tiverton, Devon) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Brentford. Woodman began his career with Bristol City as a trainee, turning professional in June 2000. His first team debut came on 5 December 2000 in the Football League Trophy defeat away to Plymouth Argyle. His league debut came on 24 February 2001, in a 4–0 defeat away to Colchester United.

He struggled to establish himself at City and in September 2004 joined Mansfield Town on loan.[1] In December 2004 he joined Torquay United on loan until the end of the season,[2] playing 22 times and scoring one goal. He returned to Torquay on loan in November 2005,[3] but played just four times before being recalled by Bristol City,[4] where he began to establish himself in the first team.

He was released from his Bristol City contract on 9 May 2007, and signed for Wycombe two weeks later.[5] Woodman was a key player during the team's promotion season in 2008/09, missing just ten minutes of league action all year. His good form was rewarded as he won the Supporters' Player of the Year and the Players' Player of the Year awards at the end of the season.[6] Following the release of Michael Duberry in January 2010, Woodman became Wycombe's official club captain, having filled in as captain on many previous occasions while Duberry was out of favour with manager Gary Waddock. However, in early March he lost the captaincy to Adam Hinshelwood.

On 30 June 2010, Woodman moved to Brentford for an undisclosed fee.[7]
